What We Do
I serve as a Web designer and front-end developer for a variety of corporate and nonprofit clients. I am the author of numerous technical articles and five books about computer-based graphic design and Internet services. My most recent book is Programming the Web Using XML (McGraw-Hill).
Before launching GenuineClass, my Web design and consulting business, I served as vice president of global HR Internet strategy at Merrill Lynch. In that role, I oversaw the firm’s human resources Web sites worldwide. I previously served as program director of content programming for IBM, coordinating all editorial content and interactive broadcasts for the ibm.com home page.
I have worked as an editor for several magazine publishers, and designed books and directories for book publisher Henry Holt & Co. and consulting firm McKinsey & Company. I hold a B.A. in psychology from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT, and graduated from Hunter College High School in New York, NY.
