In 2001, I founded GenuineClass, a New York-based computer school for families. I have written five books on XML, Internet services and graphic design; my most recent book is Programming the Web Using XML (McGraw-Hill). As vice president of global HR Internet Strategy for Merrill Lynch, I oversaw human resources Web sites and applications for the firm worldwide. Previously I served as program director, content programming for ibm.com, where I managed all interactive content for IBM's corporate Web site.
